Data Deletion Instructions

OTP Edge takes your privacy and data security seriously. In compliance with the Meta Platform Terms and the Indian Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act), we provide users with full control to disconnect their accounts and permanently delete their data.

How to Delete Your Meta Integration Data

If you have connected a WhatsApp Business Account (WABA) to your workspace, you can completely remove this connection and delete the associated Access Tokens and Metadata from our servers.

  1. Log in to your OTP Edge Dashboard.
  2. Navigate to the Integrations page via the sidebar menu.
  3. Locate the Channel Status card showing your active WhatsApp Business API connection.
  4. Click the red Disconnect Meta Account & Delete Data button.
  5. Your Access Token, Phone Number ID, and WABA ID will be immediately and permanently purged from our database.

How to Delete Your Entire Account

If you wish to completely close your account and remove all associated data, including workspaces, logs, and billing history:

  1. Navigate to your Profile Settings.
  2. Locate the Danger Zone card on the page.
  3. Click Initiate Deletion.
  4. A 6-digit security code will be sent to your registered email address.
  5. Enter the security code in the modal and click Verify & Schedule Deletion.
  6. All associated data will be queued for permanent deletion within 30 days.

Data Retention Timelines

The 30-day timeline above applies to data deletion initiated by an account-closure request. Separately, our Privacy Policy describes a maximum 90-day retention period for identifiable API request metadata during normal operation — this applies to active accounts and does not extend the 30-day timeline once account closure has been requested.

Fully anonymized data, such as aggregate usage statistics and historical billing records from which you can no longer be identified, may be retained beyond account deletion for analytics and legal record-keeping, as described in Section 5 of our Privacy Policy.
